As a Nursing Shift Supervisor at Gleneagles Global Hospital in Mumbai, your primary role is to manage the nursing staff during shifts and ensure smooth hospital operations. - Monitor Patient Conditions: Regularly assess and monitor patient conditions, escalating critical cases as necessary.
- Compliance with Policies: Ensure nursing staff follow hospital policies, protocols, and legal regulations.
- Mentorship: Train and mentor junior nurses, promoting professional development and high standards of care.
- Patient and Family Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and nursing staff to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed records and submit reports on shift activities, staffing, and patient care outcomes.
- Problem Solving: Handle emergencies, staffing challenges, and other issues to ensure efficient hospital operations.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Educational Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing or G.N.M. with a valid Nursing License.
- Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of nursing experience, including 1-2 years in a supervisory role in a hospital setting.
- Leadership Skills: Strong decision-making abilities and the capacity to handle high-pressure situations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle complex patient care situations and solve problems efficiently.
- Teamwork: Collaborative skills to work effectively with nursing staff and other medical professionals.
