Job Description
As a Senior Network Administrator at our organization, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, managing, and supporting our network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, and ensuring high availability, security, and performance of all network systems. Collaboration with IT leadership and cross-functional teams will be key to supporting business operations and driving continuous improvement in network technologies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network equipment.
- Ensure optimal network performance, reliability, and availability.
- Implement and monitor network security policies (firewalls, IPS/IDS, ACLs, VPNs).
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation.
- Manage secure remote access and ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards.
- Monitor network devices and network traffic using approved monitoring tools.
- Perform physical installation and removal (mounting/unmounting) of network devices.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and manage internet links and network tunnels in coordination with ISPs and vendors.
- Possess working knowledge of Cisco wireless solutions, including configuration and troubleshooting of Wireless Controllers and Access Points.
- Demonstrate full understanding and operational knowledge of L2 & L3 Switches/ ISR Routers and loop prevention protocols like spanning tree protocols, VTP, 802.1Q.
- Have hands-on experience with firewalls, including Cisco ASA/FTD/FMC, Fortinet, and Palo Alto platforms.
- Perform firmware and software upgrades for network devices, including WLCs, switches, firewalls, and routers.
