As a Solution Architect in the travel technology sector, your role will involve leading the design and implementation of scalable and secure technology solutions that align with business goals. You will be responsible for driving the architectural vision for the travel technology platform, ensuring it can handle complexities like GDS, NDC, and other booking channels while providing a seamless user experience. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design of end-to-end solutions for the travel technology ecosystem, translating complex business requirements into technical blueprints. - Provide expert guidance on architectural practices, design patterns, and implementation strategies to engineering teams. - Design and oversee the integration of multiple data sources like GDS, NDC, and APIs into a unified platform. - Drive the adoption and optimization of cloud-native architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP) to ensure scalability, availability, and cost-effectiveness. - Stay updated on industry trends to evaluate and recommend new technologies that enhance platform capabilities. - Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML for personalization, process automation, and intelligent recommendations. - Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation, lead design/code reviews, and mentor engineers to foster technical excellence. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a Solution Architect role. - In-depth experience in the travel technology sector, with knowledge of GDS, NDC, OBTs, and core travel concepts. - Must hold at least one professional-level cloud certification like Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect. - Expertise in designing microservices-based architectures, RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, containerization, serverless computing, and database design. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to articulate technical ideas effectively. Additional Company Details: - Experience with API management platforms, security best practices, DevOps principles, and applying AI/ML models for business problem-solving are preferred qualifications for this role.
