Job Description
As the Nephro P&L Lead at MedikaBazaar, your primary responsibility will be to drive the overall business performance, growth, and profitability of the Nephrology category. You will need to provide strategic leadership across various functions such as sales, sourcing, marketing, vendor partnerships, pricing, and operations to ensure sustainable growth and market share expansion. Your role will involve owning the end-to-end P&L delivery for the Nephrology vertical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the overall P&L for the Nephro category, including dialysis consumables, equipment, and accessories.
- Define category growth plans in alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
- Drive revenue, margin, and cost optimization targets through data-driven business planning.
- Monitor sales performance, contribution margins, and working capital utilization.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive product portfolio across Nephro sub-categories.
- Identify new product opportunities and engage with OEMs, distributors, and hospitals for product introduction.
- Manage pricing, positioning, and assortment strategies to maximize category growth.
- Build strategic relationships with key suppliers, manufacturers, and distribution partners.
- Negotiate commercial terms, supply contracts, and annual business agreements.
- Support regional sales teams with product training, marketing material, and sales campaigns.
- Develop go-to-market (GTM) initiatives for institutional and B2B segments.
- Track market trends, competitor movements, and price benchmarks in the nephrology segment.
- Analyze sales data and customer insights to forecast demand and refine strategies.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Digital, and Operations teams for smooth execution.
- Partner with Marketing to design campaigns for awareness and category promotion.
- Liaise with Product and Tech teams to improve digital visibility and ordering experience.
Qualifications Required:
- Education: MBA / PGDM (preferred) or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or Life Sciences.
- Experience: 12-15 years of experience in Medical Devices / Nephrology / Dialysis / Healthcare B2B, with proven P&L or category ownership.
- Strong understanding of nephrology consumables, capital equipment, and hospital procurement ecosystem.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Exposure to digital commerce or healthcare supply chain platforms preferred.
