Mobile QA Engineer

Role Overview: As a strong mobile manual tester, you will be responsible for creating and executing test plans and test cases to drive the testing of mobile applications for Android and iOS. Your role will involve testing and debugging native applications for mobile devices, with a focus on manual testing initially, and gradually transitioning to contribute to the team's automated testing framework. You will be expected to adhere to industry best practices such as source control, code review, and automated testing. Key Responsibilities: - Test native mobile applications, focusing on networking code, through manual testing and contributing to automation solutions. - Understand requirements, design and build manual and automated test scenarios to thoroughly test mobile apps' features and logic. - Adopt various testing methodologies to ensure features are usable, reliable, and work as designed. - Design and implement test plans, test scripts, and automated UI tests. - Conduct performance/load testing and coordinate with development teams for benchmarking of the product. - Work closely with mobile developers to report problems, bottlenecks, and other issues affecting product quality. - Be actively involved in testing life cycles such as Functional, Regression, End2End, Alpha & Release Testing. - Identify and implement QA processes and best practices to provide quality products. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 3 years of manual testing experience for mobile apps. - Background or exposure in mobile test automation development is a plus. - Familiarity with testing native mobile applications, IDEs, testing tools, and profiling tools. - Experience with testing tools like ADB, Postman Rest API, Charles Proxy. - Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Swift is advantageous. - Understanding of CI/CD concepts, version control systems, HTTP/S communication, Bluetooth, Location concepts, and JSON formats. - Experience with Instrumentation and Profiling tools on mobile platforms. - Understanding of native apps properties, behavior, and life cycle in iOS and Android OS. - Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools, and ability to work effectively in a team. - Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate defects accurately. - Ability to work independently, be proactive, and adapt to a dynamic technical environment.
