Major Roles & Responsibilities :-

Review and analyze patient medical records, charts, and documentation

Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses and procedures

Ensure proper documentation and coding compliance with healthcare regulations

Enter coded data into Electronic Health Record (EHR) or hospital management systems

Verify and validate insurance claims before submission

Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and billing staff to clarify documentation

Assist in audits and support the billing and revenue cycle process

Stay updated on coding guidelines, updates, and best practices

Ensure accuracy and completeness to minimize claim denials
