Role Overview:
As a Market Risk IT Support Analyst at Barclays in Chennai, you will be responsible for managing the service quality provided to the Risk stakeholders and taking end-to-end responsibility for service operations. Your role will involve ensuring application management, KPI monitoring and reporting, service availability, and platform stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support for the production environment of a critical service platform, proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents, and be available for rotational on-call and weekend work.
- Define and execute service improvement plans, work on business, enterprise, and support team initiatives and projects, and engage with business operations and development for value-driven delivery.
- Lead incident and problem management through to resolution, ensuring and promoting ITIL best practices for incident, problem, change, release management, and drive process improvements, system monitoring, and automation.
- Implement production software releases, own service improvement plan and risk identification and mitigation, configure observability tools, work on business continuity management, presentation of KPIs and metrics, and technology resilience planning and execution.
- Preferred expertise in code debugging, building visual front end layer for critical business processes/metrics, and knowledge of cloud and DevOps principles.
Qualifications Required:
- 4-8 years of experience in Run The Bank roles in financial institutions, consulting, or technology companies, or program management roles in other industries.
- Technical experience with high proficiency in SQL, Oracle, Windows, Unix, Java, database technologies primarily in the Investment Banking domain.
- Knowledge of Investment Bank and IB risk functional knowledge, experience with ITIL concepts and best practices, and batch monitoring tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical approach to problem-solving, self-motivated, proactive with strong analytics and reporting skills.
- Hands-on experience in production support, expertise in log debugging, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting live issues, experience on observability tools like ESaaS, AppD, Netcool, and data analysis skills.
