Job Description
As a Dynamic Manufacturing Engineer specializing in integrating complex electrical systems and high-voltage battery assemblies for next-generation aircraft, your role involves the following responsibilities:
Role Overview:
You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between design and the shop floor by implementing robust DFM/DFA strategies, IPC-compliant process development, and real-time troubleshooting. Your expertise in scaling battery enclosure assembly, thermal management, and advanced wire harness routing will be instrumental in transitioning from prototype to serial production in regulated aerospace environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support DFM/DFA activities during design reviews to ensure manufacturability and serviceability of complex electrical systems.
- Define wire routing strategies for safety, serviceability, and compliance with aerospace standards.
- Collaborate with design, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize build flow and reduce cycle time.
- Develop manufacturing processes for aircraft battery installation, enclosure assembly, thermal management, and electrical interfacing.
- Create and validate build processes for wiring harness routing, terminations, and connector assemblies.
- Develop SOPs, MIs, and detailed inspection criteria.
- Manage production data, including MBOM preparation, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, and PPAP/FAI documentation.
- Provide hands-on support to technicians during prototype and serial production phases.
- Troubleshoot wiring and battery integration issues in real-time and implement corrective actions.
- Support the creation of harness assembly boards, work instructions, and functional test procedures.
- Drive Root Cause Analysis for non-conformances and lead continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in ME E&E Integration activities in the Aerospace industry preferred.
Please note that the work location for this full-time position is in Kelambakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
