Job Description
As a Manager Taxation & Financial Accounting at the topmost FMCG Conglomerate in India, your role will involve managing and overseeing Taxation operations and Financial reporting for Group Companies. You will be key in ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Income Tax Compliance and GST Compliance.
- Manage Income tax Assessments, Litigations, and Liasioning with Consultants.
- Oversee periodic financial closing, including P&L, balance sheet, and other financial reports.
- Supervise day-to-day Banking and Accounting operations of Multiple Companies.
- Utilize expert knowledge of accounting software such as Oracle, Tally, etc.
- Oversee financial reporting for Group Companies.
- Stay updated on tax regulations and advise the team on their impact on business operations.
- Prepare Monthly Direct Tax tracker for top management and Audit Committee.
- Improve internal processes and draft revised SOPs for better Accounting processes.
- Manage Cash Flow on a need basis.
- Handle Budgeting and Monthly Profit Analysis.
- Manage Financial Risks and Control.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies for compliance.
- Foster relationships with internal stakeholders for cross-border functional support.
GST Compliance & Taxation:
- Supervise and file statutory GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C).
- Reconcile GST input tax credit with GSTR-2A/2B and books.
- Assist in managing GST audits, assessments, and departmental queries.
- Maintain documentation for GST refunds, LUT, and advance rulings.
- Post GST-related journal entries in accounting systems.
- Reconcile GST payable and receivable accounts with return filings.
- Analyze the impact of GST on revenue, procurement, and vendor payments.
Qualifications Required:
- Chartered Accountant with 6-8 years of experience in finance or Taxation.
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience.
- Understanding of Income tax Laws, GST law, and latest notifications.
- Knowledge of Indian tax laws, Companies Act, and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for lookups, pivots, and reconciliations.
