As a Vulnerability Management Engineer at Salesforce, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and compliance of the Salesforce enterprise cloud solution. Collaborating with various teams and application owners, you will utilize your expertise in Operating Systems, Network technologies, and open source software to protect critical infrastructure and defend customers' data on the global SaaS platform.

- Developing vulnerability detections for accurate identification
- Coordinating security incident response with internal and external teams
- Designing and developing tools for automation and reporting
- Supporting security control gap analysis for new architectures or public cloud substrates
Your impact will involve:
- Participating in rapid response to emerging threats
- Continuously monitoring and assessing potential impacts of vulnerabilities
- Documenting findings and risks for clear communication
- Collaborating with engineering and operations teams for effective remediation
- Leading the integration of vulnerability scanning and management tools
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior security engineers and analysts
Your experience should include:
- 9+ years of experience in vulnerability management, penetration testing, or security research
- Deep understanding of Windows, Linux, macOS, and Unix-based systems
- Familiarity with scanning and vulnerability testing fundamentals
- Ability to work with multiple customers, learn quickly, and communicate effectively
- Understanding of container technologies, third-party libraries, and supply chain threats
- Working knowledge of standard Unix infrastructure tools and protocols
- Experience securing large-scale web applications from various threats
- Significant experience with common vulnerability and cloud security tools
- Strong communication skills
Bonus points for security-based credentials and nice-to-haves include experience with open source security software, scripting and automation, incident response, threat modeling, and presenting at industry security conferences.
