Lead Software Development Manager

You will be joining a dynamic Digital Web Engineering team at Marriott International as a Senior Engineering Manager. Your role will involve leading a team of engineers to enhance and transform the travel innovation platform for the future of global travel. You will be working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, collaborating across multiple disciplines to leverage best practices and the latest cloud-native tools and technologies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage application development projects and software engineering for the digital brand experience portal - Champion AI-first engineering and deploy advanced AI modeling approaches to solve complex business challenges - Lead a team of engineers to enhance and transform the digital web platform with a focus on integrating AI/ML technologies - Ensure project quality, on-time delivery, and adherence to standard application development processes - Foster a culture of experimentation, innovation, and responsible adoption of emerging AI technologies - Manage day-to-day relationships with IT teams, business partners, and service providers - Drive continuous improvement programs to enhance quality, consistency, and client satisfaction - Collaborate with architects on major organizational initiatives across multiple channels and platforms - Implement and manage continuous improvement activities to demonstrate alignment with industry standards **Qualifications and Experience:** - 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years in a leadership role - Technical expertise in architecture development, integration of backend systems, and AI-enabled development projects - Proficiency in integrating AI models into cloud-native architectures and microservices - Experience with backend technologies such as Node.JS, Java, SQL, NoSQL, Spring Boot, Kafka, and Spark - Familiarity with Digital Customer Experience platforms like Adobe AEM and Marketing Cloud - Strong problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects - Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills - Previous experience with cloud-native solutions, API platforms, and full stack infrastructure - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/certification You will be based in Hyderabad, India, and the work mode will be hybrid.
