Job Description
As a highly skilled Senior Python Lead with deep experience in building Generative AI applications, particularly using Azure OpenAI, your role will involve the following key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize GenAI-powered applications using Azure OpenAI (GPT models, embeddings, RAG pipelines, function calling, agents).
- Implement LLM operations including:
- Prompt engineering
- Fine-tuning
- Vectorization
- Evaluation pipelines
- Build and integrate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows using Azure Cognitive Search or other vector databases.
- Develop robust and scalable backend services using Python (FastAPI, Flask).
- Build APIs, microservices, and data pipelines for GenAI applications.
- Integrate structured and unstructured data sources (databases, PDFs, APIs, documents).
- Deploy end-to-end AI solutions on Azure, leveraging:
- Azure OpenAI
- Azure Cognitive Search
- Azure Machine Learning
- Azure Functions
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Azure Data Lake / Storage
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, model deployment workflows, and monitoring systems.
- Work closely with Solution Architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers.
- Participate in:
- Design discussions
- Architecture reviews
- Code reviews
- Ensure security, scalability, performance, and compliance of GenAI applications.
Qualifications Required:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in Python development.
- Strong expertise in:
- Python frameworks: FastAPI / Flask / Django
- Azure OpenAI (GPT models, ChatGPT)
- LLM-based application development
- Vector databases (Azure Search, Pinecone, ChromaDB)
- Solid experience with:
- Prompt engineering
- RAG and embeddings
- NLP frameworks (Hugging Face, Transformers, LangChain, LlamaIndex)
- RESTful API development
- Cloud-native architecture on Azure
- Strong understanding of:
- Security and authentication (OAuth2, JWT)
- Data governance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in fine-tuning or customizing LLMs.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience with data engineering workflows (SQL, ETL pipelines).
- Background in deploying enterprise-grade AI applications.
