Job Description
As a Lead Network Architect at our client, a prominent telecommunications leader, your primary responsibility will be to design and evolve their cutting-edge 5G network infrastructure in Gurugram, Haryana, IN. You are expected to have a deep understanding of telecommunications networks, IP routing, wireless technologies, and cloud-native architectures. Your role will involve conceptualizing, planning, and implementing complex network solutions to ensure high performance, scalability, reliability, and security for their next-generation services. Additionally, you will lead a team of network engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and stay updated with technological advancements in the telecom industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect robust, scalable, and high-performance 5G network solutions, covering RAN, Core, and Transport segments.
- Develop and maintain network architecture documentation, roadmaps, and strategic plans.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of new network technologies and vendors.
- Oversee the implementation and integration of new network components and services.
- Ensure implementation and maintenance of network security best practices across all infrastructure layers.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to define requirements and ensure successful deployment.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide technical leadership for resolution.
- Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis to ensure network scalability and efficiency.
- Mentor and guide a team of network engineers, fostering technical growth and development.
- Stay updated with industry trends, standards (e.g., 3GPP), and emerging technologies in 5G and beyond.
- Develop automation strategies for network deployment, configuration, and management.
- Participate in industry forums and contribute to the company's technical vision.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in telecommunications network design and architecture, focusing on mobile networks (4G/5G).
- Proven expertise in designing complex IP/MPLS networks, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and QoS.
- Deep understanding of 5G architecture, including NSA/SA, UPF, SMF, AMF, and gNB functionalities.
- Experience with cloud-native network functions (CNFs) and containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (NFV) and SDN principles.
- Strong understanding of wireless technologies (LTE, NR, Wi-Fi).
- Experience with network security principles and implementation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCIE, JNCIE) are a plus.
