Role Overview:
You are being sought by the Business Security Enablement Guild as a Lead Information Security Engineer to function as a Program Security Engineer for the Integrated Marketing and Communications program. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a robust security posture while supporting the business in achieving its objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex initiatives and projects, collaborating with business partners, vendor/consulting organizations, and professionals from various IT disciplines.
- Conduct security reviews of internally developed and 3rd party software, including SaaS, in line with Mastercard policies and standards, and provide appropriate guidance to the business.
- Influence and implement security requirements, standards, and architecture for the security aspects of large, complex projects.
- Identify opportunities for enhancement and present them to senior leadership.
- Review and offer feedback for improvements to front-line metrics to ensure compliance with defined controls.
- Assist in the design, testing, and deployment of sophisticated security solutions to meet security and business needs.
- Foster and sustain relationships with internal stakeholders such as business owners, end-users, customers, project managers, engineers, and senior leadership.
Qualifications Required:
- Proven IT experience showcasing thought leadership, cross-functional influence, and successful collaboration in enabling business through technical decisions.
- Demonstrated experience in leading project teams, working with business partners, vendor/consulting organizations, and peers from other IT disciplines.
- Information Security Engineering background, including risk identification, options for remediation, and compensating controls.
- Familiarity with information security, risk management, and data privacy in the realm of digital commerce, with practical experience.
- Sound knowledge of identity management, user authentication, and authorization principles.
- Experience in designing secure multi-domain Internet-facing applications and providing security architecture advice for web-based network environments.
- Basic understanding of cryptography, encompassing encryption, hashing, key management, digital certificates, and TLS.
- Ability to effectively communicate security and risk management concepts to diverse audiences and propose alternative solutions in business terms.
