Lead Front End Developer

As a Lead Frontend Engineer, your role will involve architecting, scaling, and leading the development of high-performance SaaS interfaces for the platform. You will be responsible for owning the frontend architecture and technical direction while leading a team of frontend engineers. Your tasks will include building complex web applications using technologies like React, Next.js, and TypeScript to design various product flows, real-time AI interactions, dashboards, and institutional tools. To excel in this role, you will need robust product thinking, deep frontend architecture experience, proven team leadership skills, and the ability to work across different asynchronous workflows involving video, audio, and text-based interactions. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a team of frontend engineers by conducting code reviews, pair programming sessions, and providing technical guidance. - Make frontend architecture decisions, establish coding standards, best practices, and design patterns. - Drive the technical roadmap and prioritize frontend initiatives. - Collaborate with product, design, and backend leads for cross-functional planning. - Organize sprint planning, standups, and technical syncs for the frontend team. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in React.js, Next.js (App Router), and TypeScript for building scalable frontend systems with features like SSR, streaming, caching, and advanced code-splitting techniques. - Experience in designing and implementing complex multi-step product workflows, including assessment creation, evaluation pipelines, draft/publish flows, dashboards, and bulk operations. - Ability to implement asynchronous UX patterns such as long-running job flows, status tracking, retries, progress indicators, polling/WebSockets, and robust error recovery. - Familiarity with developing interfaces for AI-assisted experiences involving video, audio, and text-based interactions with real-time feedback and media handling. - Knowledge in architecting state management using tools like TanStack React Query for server-state orchestration and Zustand for client-side workflow state.
