Job Description
As a Lead DevOps Engineer at EPAM, you will play a crucial role in driving and enhancing the CI/CD frameworks with a focus on GitHub Actions integration. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining GitHub Actions workflows to improve CI/CD processes
- Developing advanced YAML configurations using various strategies and best practices
- Managing enterprise-level self-hosted runners and addressing network/proxy constraints effectively
- Implementing security best practices in CI/CD pipelines for enhanced security
- Containerizing automation processes using Docker or Podman and deploying containers to repositories like Artifactory or Azure Container Registry
- Troubleshooting and monitoring container workloads deployed in serverless virtual environments
- Migrating dev tooling platforms from on-premise to SaaS by planning phased rollouts
- Configuring Dependabot for dependency management and leveraging Sonar tools for establishing quality gates
- Demonstrating expertise in Artifactory repository management for various ecosystems
- Utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible for automation and configurations
- Maintaining reliable operations through monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- Applying AI-driven GitHub Actions troubleshooting capabilities for optimization
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 8-14 years of comprehensive IT experience with over 4 years of specialized CI/CD engineering expertise
- At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
- Proficiency in authoring workflows using GitHub Actions YAML and related strategies
- Background in managing enterprise self-hosted runners and containerizing processes
- Expertise in managing Dependabot configurations, Sonar quality gates, and Artifactory concepts
- Linux fundamentals and skills in networking basics and scripting
- Competency in Infrastructure as Code tools and troubleshooting container workloads
- Experience in migrating dev tooling platforms and English language proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level
Nice to have skills include an understanding of AI-powered GitHub Actions troubleshooting, familiarity with serverless computing approaches, and flexibility to use ephemeral virtual environments.
