Job Description
As a Lead Data Scientist at our company, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions in the retail sector.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced predictive models, agentic AI solutions, and statistical analyses to solve high-impact business problems.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to extract actionable insights and guide strategic decision-making.
- Drive exploratory data analysis (EDA) and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to define analytical objectives, data requirements, and success metrics.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to data scientists and ML engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
- Architect and optimize scalable data pipelines and workflows using Spark and other big data technologies.
- Oversee the integration of agentic AI models with traditional machine learning approaches, ensuring robust, autonomous, and multi-modal solutions.
- Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve the performance of deployed models and analytics solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI, ML, and data science.
- Contribute to the development of data science standards, code reviews, and knowledge sharing within the team.
**Qualifications Required:**
- Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related role, with a track record of delivering production-grade solutions.
- Demonstrated expertise in agentic AI, generative AI, and multi-modal systems, including the development and deployment of autonomous agents.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scala, or similar languages and frameworks.
- Working experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud-based data platforms.
- Deep understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and best practices for model validation and monitoring.
- Strong EDA and data storytelling skills, with the ability to influence business strategy through data-driven insights.
- Experience leading projects and mentoring junior team members.
- Experience in the retail sector is highly desirable.
