Lead Data Development Engineer - Assistant Vice President

Job Description: As a Lead Data Development Engineer at Global Link, you will be part of a cutting-edge technology team working on a product that is rapidly growing. You will have the opportunity to define technical requirements, develop new application features, and ensure adherence to development standards. Your role will involve integration with Data Engineering teams, deployment, testing, and production support. Additionally, you will be responsible for writing clean code, working with new technologies as needed, and leading tech initiatives within the Data team. Key Responsibilities: - Define high-level technical requirements and architecture for back-end services, data components, and data monetization components - Develop new application features and enhance existing ones - Create relevant documentation and diagrams - Collaborate with other teams for deployment, testing, training, and production support - Ensure adherence to development, coding, privacy, and security standards - Write clean and quality code - Stay updated on new technologies as per business requirements Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in Python development focusing on data-intensive applications out of a total of 14+ years of experience - Proficiency in Apache Spark and PySpark for large-scale data processing - Strong understanding of SQL, relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SparkSQL), and query optimization - Experience in SDLC and applying software development best practices - Ability to create and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and performance testing for data pipelines and systems - Familiarity with big data platform Databricks - Experience in building data-intensive applications and understanding of data pipelines - Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS for data infrastructure and services preferred Additional Company Details: State Street is a global institution that helps institutional investors manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance.
