Role Overview:
You will be a key part of the Reference Data team at S&P Global Market Intelligence - Bond Reference Data, responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of bonds product and services, supporting internal and external clients, and enhancing the Bond Reference Data product offering. Your role will involve close collaboration with global teams across different locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and update newly issued deals into the database in real-time
- Coverage of international bond markets and expanding the same
- Operational maintenance of Reference data product
- Deliver set targets with desired quality parameters
- Identify data quality improvement projects and enhance operational efficiency
- Manage client queries and escalations, liaise with counterparts globally
- Conduct user acceptance testing for new or enhanced product functionality
- Demonstrate a general interest in financial markets and willingness to expand knowledge
- Utilize working knowledge of corporate bonds and new bond issuance procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Perform client interaction professionally
- Collaborate effectively within a global team environment
Qualifications Required:
- Graduate degree/ Post Graduate or equivalent in ideally Finance, Economics, or Business
- Understanding of debt securities and new bond issuance process
- Good knowledge of different types of fixed income debt and associated terms and conditions
- Strong communication skills
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and Excel is an added advantage
- Keen interest in finance and up-to-date with current global financial market news
- Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and demonstrate good analytical skills
- Must be a self-starter, adaptable to work environment dynamics, hardworking, and efficient
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Team player with the capability to work well individually and in a team setting
