Job Description
As a Network Operations Engineer, your role involves configuring, managing, and troubleshooting L2/L3 switches, including ACLs, QoS policies, and firmware upgrades. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining SD-WAN gateways, firewalls, and load balancers, with hands-on experience in Palo Alto Panorama. Additionally, you will configure and troubleshoot DHCP and DNS environments while updating and maintaining wireless infrastructure tools like Aruba Central, Airwave, and ClearPass. Supporting and troubleshooting wireless networks, including WAPs and controllers, will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will administer Cisco CUCM, manage VoIP phones (certification preferred), and monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds (NPM, NCM, NTA, NAM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot L2/L3 switches, including ACLs, QoS policies, and firmware upgrades.
- Manage and maintain SD-WAN gateways, firewalls, and load balancers, with hands-on experience in Palo Alto Panorama.
- Configure and troubleshoot DHCP and DNS environments.
- Update and maintain wireless infrastructure tools like Aruba Central, Airwave, and ClearPass.
- Support and troubleshoot wireless networks, including WAPs and controllers.
- Administer Cisco CUCM and manage VoIP phones (certification preferred).
- Monitor and manage network performance using tools like SolarWinds (NPM, NCM, NTA, NAM).
- Participate in field dispatch coordination and transition management activities.
- Perform incident logging, issue triage, resolution, and escalation handling for ISPs and infrastructure issues.
- Conduct vulnerability and patch management for network infrastructure.
- Manage backup configurations, network documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Adhere to ITIL practices for Asset, Change, and Incident Management.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise network operations.
- Proven hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Aruba, and Cisco networking equipment.
- Strong expertise in network security, monitoring, and wireless network infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of SolarWinds for network monitoring and automation.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes for network service management.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
