Java AWS Cloud Delivery Lead - Manager

As a Senior Java/J2EE Developer at State Street, you are expected to spend 80% of your time on hands-on development, design, and architecture while dedicating the remaining 20% to guiding the team on technology and removing impediments. Your role will involve providing advanced technical expertise in analyzing, designing, estimating, and developing software applications to project schedules. You will oversee systems design and implementation of the most complex design components and create project plans and deliverables, monitoring task deadlines effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Provide advanced technical expertise in analyzing, designing, estimating, and developing software applications to project schedules. - Oversee systems design and implementation of the most complex design components. - Create project plans and deliverables, monitoring task deadlines. - Maintain and support existing software applications. - Review, analyze, and resolve complex issues. - Design and execute end-to-end system tests of new installations and/or software. - Prepare user and systems documentation as needed. - Identify and recommend industry best practices. - Serve as a mentor to junior staff. - Act as a technical lead/mentor for developers. - Lead a team of agile developers. - Work in complex deadline-driven projects with minimal supervision. - Provide agile status notes on day-to-day project tasks. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 10-15 years of strong hands-on experience with Java/J2EE. - Hands-on experience with Spring Boot & Microservices (at least 3 years). - Exposure and understanding of various AWS cloud services. - Experience in AWS and Databricks implementation. - Strong practical experience with Java, J2EE, on-prem to cloud migration. - Understanding of software architecture, design, development, and implementation. - Practical experience using Scrum, Agile modeling, and adaptive software development. - Knowledge of continuous integration, build process, test automation, and deployment. - Ability to understand and grasp the big picture of system components. - Experience building environment and architecture design guides and application blueprints.
