Job Description
As a Data Engineer at Verdantas, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and high-performance data systems. Your focus will be on developing efficient ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring data quality, managing data storage systems, and enabling analytics, reporting, and machine-learning use cases. Collaboration with data scientists, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders is essential to ensure seamless data availability and accessibility. Please note that this position requires you to work in-office in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark and Flink.
- Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Hands-on experience working with ETL/ELT orchestration tools.
- Understanding of data modeling, metadata management, and governance.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex data topics to non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative mindset and stakeholder engagement skills.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or equivalent.
- Typically, 38+ years of hands-on data engineering experience (level dependent).
Preferred Certifications:
- Google Professional Data Engineer.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
- AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty.
Location and Work Set-up:
- Pune, Maharashtra, India.
