Job Description
As an IT Asset Manager at GSPANN, you will be responsible for managing hardware and software asset lifecycles, ensuring compliance, and optimizing costs. Your expertise in Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) will be crucial in maintaining ITAM policies, standards, and procedures. Here is a breakdown of your role and responsibilities:
Role Overview:
You will define and enforce ITAM policies, standards, and procedures.
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware and software assets, from procurement to disposal.
Maintain an accurate asset repository and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Track and manage hardware assets such as servers, endpoints, network devices, and mobile devices.
Oversee secure decommissioning and data sanitization for retired assets.
Manage software licenses, including allocation, renewals, audits, and compliance requirements.
Optimize license entitlements and reduce costs by reclaiming unused licenses.
Support vendor negotiations, cost allocation, budgeting, and depreciation tracking.
Deliver reports and dashboards on asset utilization, compliance status, and cost-saving opportunities.
Identify and implement automation opportunities in asset tracking and license management.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive accountability across teams.
Qualifications Required:
710 years of IT experience, with a focus on IT Asset Management (HAM and SAM).
Proven expertise in ITAM within medium and large enterprises.
Strong knowledge of CMDB management, ITSM processes, and ITAM tools like ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow, or Ivanti.
Experience in procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
Understanding of financial alignment, budgeting, cost allocation, and depreciation tracking.
Familiarity with IT security, data protection, and regulatory compliance standards.
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with experience in dashboards and scorecards.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration skills.
Preferred certifications include ITIL and IT Asset Management Certified Professional (CAMP/CSAM).
Hands-on experience implementing and managing ITAM processes, tools, and governance frameworks.
Experience collaborating with Procurement, Finance, Security, and IT Operations teams.
Involvement in IT audits, compliance checks, and large-scale asset lifecycle management projects.
