Job Description
As a Tax Research Analyst at our company, you will be deeply involved in stimulating indirect tax research projects to make a significant impact. Your role will require you to stay updated on the most current, accurate, and timely e-invoicing legal information through extensive research. It is essential to commit to continuous learning and staying abreast of developments in indirect tax laws and e-invoicing trends to excel in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, monitor, translate, and interpret tax laws and guidelines
- Evaluate content accuracy, summarize findings, and make informed tax decisions
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely content for e-invoicing/live reporting capabilities
- Ensure interpretation research accuracy to meet legal and regulatory standards
- Assist in pre-testing e-file formats on Tax Authorities websites and offline applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement tax technology solutions
- Document research findings clearly and provide detailed summaries of changes
- Work effectively with team members to accomplish tasks in a timely and productive manner
- Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
- Be flexible to overlap work schedule with US/UK timing for collaborative meetings or training
- Identify opportunities for process automation, streamlining, and reducing redundancy
Qualifications Required for Success:
- Natural curiosity about technology and a keen interest in innovation
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, law, or accounting with 4+ years of experience in indirect tax advisory or consulting
- Master's degree in law, economics, finance with 2+ years of experience in International E-invoicing
- Familiarity with XSD schemas, UBL format, and technical information related to E-invoicing
- Strong analytical skills and experience in legal research
- Ability to interpret complex tax regulations and develop tax technology solutions
- Advanced tax certifications or tax technology certificates are preferred
