Job Description
Role Overview:
As a Global Trade Analyst 2 at Sandisk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth classification and clearance of goods through customs. Your responsibilities will involve managing STPI licenses, ensuring customs compliance, handling documentation management, and collaborating with internal departments to facilitate the timely release of shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage STPI License by reviewing and analyzing existing processes, setting up necessary changes, and analyzing international trade data.
- Ensure all import/export transactions comply with local, national, and international customs regulations, including accurate tariff classifications, duties, taxes, and import/export requirements.
- Prepare, review, and submit all necessary customs documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Classify goods based on Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes and liaise with internal departments to resolve any clearance process issues.
- Identify compliance risks or issues in shipments and take corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline logistics operations and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to global trade policies and regulations.
- Prepare reports and presentations on trade analytics, assist in developing trade operational strategies, and support trade-related database maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in STPI Unit, Customs operations, import/export documentation, and international trade.
- Knowledge of Foreign Trade policy, STPI, Customs Procedures, INCOTERMS, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in SAP and Oracle GTM ERPs, HS codes, and customs goods classification.
- Strong communication skills for interactions with customs authorities, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in document processing and compliance with regulations.
