HVDC & FACTS Service Engineer

As a HVDC/FACTS Service Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will have a challenging and future-oriented role. Your responsibilities will include: - Testing software and hardware for control & protection for HVDC/FACTS/AC Switchyard systems. - Testing primary electrical equipment in HVAC/HVDC Switchyards. - Testing and programming numeric protection relays, preferably Siemens SIPROTEC family. - Performing factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests for HVDC/FACTS C&P systems. - Troubleshooting and providing technical service support at customer sites for HVDC & FACTS. - Updating engineering documentation/drawings after completion of tests. - Managing, developing, and ensuring profitability of HVDC & FACTS spares business. - Ensuring all business KPI's are met and maintaining services to customers according to company policy. - Responding to customer inquiries, preparing offers, and managing order execution for spare parts business. - Attending customer meetings, discussing proposals, and suggesting solutions aligned with field service. - Driving initiatives to expand the service business and capture new opportunities. - Coordinating QMS and EHS for HDVC and FACTS services portfolio. - Overseeing project activities from conceptualization to execution, including technical specifications and vendor management. - Prepare cost-optimized technical solutions while meeting customer expectations. - Cyber security skills will be an added advantage. Qualifications required for this role: - B.E / B. Tech in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics with 4 to 8 years of experience. - Good knowledge of testing software and hardware for control & protection for HVDC/FACTS/AC Switchyard systems. - Experience with HVDC/FACTS systems is advantageous. - Good knowledge of testing and programming numeric protection relays. - Excellent communication skills. - Ability to multitask and work under time pressure. - Strong technical know-how on HVDC & FACTS technologies. - Team Player with high commitment. - Knowledge of Cyber Security, MS Word, MS Excel & Power Points, and working knowledge of MS office tools like MS Projects, Power BI. - Intercultural sensitivity and ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural team. - Excellent written & verbal communication, presentation & negotiation skills with foreign language expertise is an added advantage.
