Job Description
As an HRIS Analyst within the GHR Global Technology team, your primary responsibility will be to execute priorities assigned by the Technology Prioritization Board (TPB), a centralized planning board for all GHR technology work. You will play a crucial role in ensuring data integrity, testing system changes, correcting and entering data, writing reports, analyzing data flows, and identifying integration errors to enhance process efficiency. Additionally, you will support production, releases, business processes, testing, integrations, and other technical projects as needed.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Participate in supporting and enhancing Workday HCM, Workday Payroll, and the development and implementation of Workday Benefits, Time Tracking, and Absence in relation to payroll, while adhering to strict data integrity and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide system support and assist users by researching issues, unexpected results, or process flaws, and recommending solutions or alternative methods to meet system and workflow requirements.
- Conduct technical analysis and system configuration, including configuring various HR technologies (such as Workday and SharePoint) and being involved in systems from inception to delivery, in collaboration with project sponsors, IT partners, and cross-functional project team members.
- Perform business and impact analysis by estimating project effects on systems, business operations, employees, and clients to identify solutions that reduce costs, enhance customer service, and provide actionable insights.
- Manage configuration, testing, and release management activities, which involve reviewing release notes, gathering requirements, documenting processes, testing, and ensuring deployment plans are in place, including communication and training. You may also be responsible for developing project plans, release schedules, communications, and training materials.
- Provide production support by monitoring HR Services, addressing functionality issues, performance or availability concerns, and identifying potential system enhancements or functionalities beneficial to the organization.
- Utilize project management skills to oversee systems or reporting projects, ensuring adherence to procedures, maintaining internal controls, and managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Use problem-solving skills to apply systems/workflow thinking in resolving business issues within HR practices, interpret data, present information and findings, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
**Qualifications Required:**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience providing Workday Payroll application support and business systems analysis for an HR Payroll department in a medium to large global company.
- Experience with Workday report writing, EIBs, and calculated fields is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience working with Workday Benefits, Time Tracking, and Absence in relation to payroll is a plus.
- Highly organized with persistent attention to detail, while maintaining an overall view of situations and the "big picture."
- Proficient in standard Microsoft Office tools with advanced Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of the software development process, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release management/version control, testing methodologies, and deployment management.
- Ability to create test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, and utilize best practice testing methods and quality assurance.
- Knowledge of HR processes, policies, and legal requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience in interpreting data and presenting information effectively.
