Job Description

Role Overview: You will be a key member of the Managed Public Cloud software development team at Rackspace Technology, working on various projects such as cloud integrated services, customer interaction platforms, and backend business systems. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with Product teams, architecting production-ready software, adhering to coding best practices, leading research and prototype efforts, and participating in a DevOps culture. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate globally with the Managed Public Cloud software development team - Work on projects related to cloud integrated services, customer interaction platforms, and backend business systems - Assess functional requirements for new offerings and analyze technical feasibility - Architect production ready software with minimal direction - Prioritize system observability and establish coding and process best practices - Contribute to engineering standards and best practices - Lead research, proof of concept, and prototype efforts - Design and implement monitoring strategies for system performance and application health using Datadog - Troubleshoot complex issues by analyzing metrics, logs, and traces in Datadog - Convey insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Qualifications Required: - In-depth knowledge of Datadog features such as dashboards, monitors, log management, and alerting - Expertise in setting up and configuring Datadog agents across various environments - Experience in automating monitoring and alerting setups using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools - Strong understanding of observability principles, including metrics, logging, and tracing - Skills in identifying performance bottlenecks and optimizing system performance based on Datadog insights - Knowledge of security best practices related to monitoring, data privacy, and compliance - Commitment to continuously improving monitoring setups and staying updated with Datadog's latest features - Excellent oral and written English communication skills Note: Additional details about Rackspace Technology have been omitted from the job description.
