Job Description
As a member of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Technology team at Franklin Templeton, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the companys Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and reporting platforms. Your contributions will directly impact planning, forecasting, cost allocation, profitability, and insight, ultimately driving better outcomes for clients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and enhance FP&A/EPM platforms, including security, metadata, hierarchies, models, versions, and validations.
- Design and maintain planning and forecasting models within Adaptive Planning, supporting various functions such as Corporate and functional Opex, Headcount and compensation planning, and Cost allocation and profitability.
- Develop and maintain reporting systems including Oracle Essbase and Power BI for business intelligence dashboarding.
- Build and support dashboards and management reports using Workday Office Connect and Oracle Smart View.
- Collaborate with Finance and Technology teams to identify opportunities for process simplification, automation, and standardization through AI, system enhancements, or improved reporting and analytics.
Data & Integration Management:
- Partner with ERP, HR, and data platform teams to manage integrations into FP&A systems.
- Ensure data completeness, reconciliation, and variance analysis across actuals, forecasts, and plans.
- Support complex financial data sets common in asset management environments.
Delivery & Stakeholder Partnership:
- Work within an Agile delivery model, contributing to backlog prioritization, user story management, sprint execution, UAT, and releases.
- Translate business requirements into system solutions in collaboration with Corporate FP&A and functional Finance teams.
- Lead problem definition and solution design for complex FP&A use cases, including ambiguous requirements.
- Coordinate with external vendors and implementation partners on enhancements and roadmap initiatives.
Controls, Governance & Reliability:
- Design and operate FP&A technology solutions in alignment with SOX / IT General Controls.
- Ensure high system availability and performance during financial cycles.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and training materials for global users.
- Diagnose and resolve data quality, performance, or process issues within FP&A platforms.
Qualifications Required:
- 710 years of experience in financial systems, FP&A technology, or EPM.
- Strong partnership with Corporate Finance and FP&A teams.
- Agile or iterative delivery experience.
- Industry background in asset or wealth management preferred.
- Certifications such as CA, CMA, CFA, MBA, or EPM vendor.
