Job Description
As an experienced SAP System Administrator in an MNC Big 4 company, your role involves end-to-end business process Governance, Master Data Governance & Control, change governance, and training and development of Subject Matter Experts. Your key responsibilities include:
- Approving user authorizations for 70+ users on the SAP system, ensuring segregation of duties, direct/mitigation plans for conflicts, and Application Security Control (risk assessment, SOX compliance).
- Leading the Monthly Financial Statement Close Process (FSCP) by managing GL accounting, month-end accruals, reviewing journal entries, and handling Inter-company transactions while retaining and protecting related documents and approval trails.
- Conducting Balance Sheet reconciliation and substantiation, including Debtors/Creditors, Bank Reconciliations, and proposing action plans for non-moving balances.
- Managing Provisions such as Provision for doubtful debts/disputed debtor balances, Gratuity & Employee benefits, and accounting of accrued income based on year-end investments.
- Collaborating with Business Partners to ensure timely and accurate accounting, month-end close in SAP System, and implementing accounting policies as per financial reporting standards.
- Providing guidance on accounts payable processes, accurate recording of costs, and developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting processes and procedures for continuous improvement.
Your qualifications should include a B.com and Chartered Accountant or CPA certification with 10-12 years of post-qualification experience in MNC Big 4 companies, with in-depth knowledge of SAP Modules and processes. SAP S/4 HANA certification is preferred.
Key competencies and behaviors required for this role are:
- Knowledge of operational accounting processes and accounting standards (IND AS/IFRS).
- Leadership capabilities, self-starter, flexibility, high integrity, and action-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly build credibility and trust with stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to build effective working relationships within the team.
- Comfortable with tight deadlines, ability to prioritize workload, and engage team members effectively.
