Equity Portfolio Manager, Small & Mid Cap

Role Overview: As a Fund Manager focusing on Small Cap and Mid Cap Indian Equities at a leading Asset Management Company in Mumbai, your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage equity portfolios within the specified strategies. You will be tasked with developing investment strategies, conducting thorough research and analysis, and ensuring consistent alpha generation across market cycles. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and oversee Small Cap and Mid Cap equity portfolios effectively. - Develop investment strategies in line with fund mandates and risk parameters. - Conduct detailed fundamental research and analysis of companies across various sectors. - Lead the process of idea generation, stock selection, and portfolio construction. - Monitor portfolio performance actively and make necessary adjustments based on market conditions. - Engage with company management, sell-side analysts, and industry experts for valuable insights. - Deliver presentations on investment strategy and performance updates to internal stakeholders and investors. - Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal risk guidelines at all times. Qualification Required: - Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Fund Manager handling Indian equity portfolios. - Demonstrated track record in Small Cap / Mid Cap investing. - Sound knowledge of Indian markets, sector dynamics, and valuation frameworks. - Proven ability to generate alpha while practicing disciplined risk management. - Proficiency in analytical skills, financial modeling, and decision-making. - Preferred qualifications include an MBA in Finance, CA, or CFA. - Excellent communication skills and a knack for stakeholder management are essential for this role.
