Job Description
As an Evaluation and Management (E&M) denial coder, your primary role will involve analyzing medical records and ensuring the accuracy of E&M codes assigned to patient visits. You will be responsible for addressing denials from insurance companies pertaining to these services. Your expertise in E&M coding guidelines and a comprehensive understanding of CPT coding will be crucial for success in this position. Additionally, your proficiency in medical documentation interpretation will play a key role in your day-to-day responsibilities.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Minimum 2+ years of Experience in E/M coding is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of coding appropriate ICDs, CPTs, and HCPCS Codes
- Ability to ensure the assignment of codes based on coding and customer guidelines
- Hands-on knowledge of CCI edits, LCD, NCD coverage determination, etc.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, human anatomy, and physiology
- Knowledge of coding all CPTs related to simple procedures
It is essential for you to have strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and knowledge of insurance regulations to excel in this position. You may also be required to communicate with healthcare providers to rectify coding discrepancies and submit appeals to ensure appropriate reimbursement for E&M services.
Please note that the work shift for this role is during the day, and the work location is in Noida. This is an in-office position, and certification (CPC) is mandatory for this role.
