E2E 5G Protocol Validation Engineer

As a Senior 5G Network level Engineer with 5-10 years of experience, your role will involve bridging the gap between standardization theory and practical network implementation. You will be responsible for validating the 5G Small Cell system against strict 3GPP Release 15/16/17 specifications and IETF RFCs through E2E system testing on real network elements. Your deep knowledge of the protocol stack and AI-driven automation will be essential in debugging complex Call Processing and Interoperability issues. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execute E2E test plans on real gNB and Femto Gateway hardware, ensuring compliance with defined standards. - Analyze protocol traces (L2/L3) to identify deviations from 3GPP specs during feature integration. - Use QXDM, Wireshark, and QCAT for bit-level log dissection and debug intricate issues such as Throughput drops, setup failures, and tunnel establishment issues. - Write scripts for automating complex protocol flows using Python/Robot Framework and integrate AI tools for parsing large PCAP files. - Take full ownership of Lab setup including cOAM configuration, Certificate Management, and Core Network simulator tuning. **Qualification Required:** - Good 3GPP & Protocol Knowledge with the ability to interpret and debug against specific 3GPP Technical Specifications. - Understanding of IETF RFCs related to Transport and Security protocols for SeGW integration. - Expertise in RAN features such as Complex Call Processing, Mobility Algorithms, and Advanced Features. - Experience with Protocol Analyzers like Wireshark, QXDM, QCAT, and scripting languages such as Python.
