Job Description
As a Data Analyst with a focus on E-commerce, your role involves analyzing customer behavior, sales performance, and operational metrics to generate actionable insights for driving business growth. You will be working closely with business, marketing, and product teams to provide data-driven insights and support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets related to sales, customers, orders, traffic, and marketing performance.
- Build dashboards and reports to track key e-commerce KPIs such as conversion rate, AOV, CLTV, retention, and churn.
- Perform cohort analysis, funnel analysis, and customer segmentation.
- Support product and marketing teams with data-driven insights.
- Analyze website and app performance data to optimize user experience.
- Work with business stakeholders to define metrics and reporting needs.
- Automate recurring reports and dashboards.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for revenue growth.
- Support A/B testing and experimentation initiatives.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting systems.
Required Technical Skills:
- Solid proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Google Data Studio.
- Experience with analytics platforms like Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, or Adobe Analytics.
- Understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Basic knowledge of Python or R for data analysis (preferred).
- Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, or Redshift.
Domain Expertise E-commerce:
- Online customer journey and funnel performance analysis.
- Product performance and category trend analysis.
- Pricing and discount effectiveness tracking.
- Inventory and supply chain analytics.
- Marketing campaign ROI measurement.
- Personalization and recommendation performance analytics.
- Marketplace or D2C platform analytics.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions.
- Proactive attitude with ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
