Job Description
As a Tax Compliance Manager for Nissan AMIEO, your role will involve managing the tax compliance set-up for the region, handling day-to-day tax compliance matters, and leading compliance projects to support the growth and expansion of the company. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking corporate tax compliance (direct and indirect taxes) across AMIEO jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate tax filings for income tax, GST/VAT, and other applicable levies.
- Monitoring and implementing changes in tax laws, reporting requirements, and regulatory obligations across AMIEO countries.
- Maintaining tax records, statutory filings, and supporting documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
- Coordinating with external tax consultants, auditors, and advisors to ensure smooth tax compliance processes.
- Developing best-in-class compliance processes for the AMIEO entities.
- Assisting with annual and interim tax provisions for AMIEO entities.
- Identifying tax efficiencies, planning opportunities, and optimizing regional operational tax processes.
- Automating manual tasks to enhance efficiency in the AMIEO tax function, including related compliance.
- Providing assistance in enhancing SAP systems to meet tax management requirements.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Qualified CA with a minimum of 8 years' experience in tax compliance.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals and execute multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Strong collaboration skills, ensuring accountability, and driving results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience in both indirect and direct tax compliance.
- Hands-on experience in extracting data from SAP ERP.
