Delivery Director

As a Delivery Director at our company, you will play a crucial role in leading the successful delivery of complex software initiatives. Your technical expertise in full-stack web application architecture and cloud-based solutions will be essential in ensuring project success from conception to deployment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, oversee architecture and design standards, and drive continuous improvement across development and delivery practices. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving growth through Presales engagements. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, and delivery of complex cross-functional digital transformation projects. - Manage scope, schedule, risks, and stakeholder communications for multiple concurrent projects. - Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into actionable technical plans. - Oversee Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) to ensure timely delivery. - Drive alignment between business goals, technical design, and implementation. - Define transformation goals, KPIs, and success metrics. - Provide technical guidance on application architecture, design, and development best practices. - Review and approve technical designs, ensuring adherence to organizational standards. - Establish governance frameworks for transformation programs. - Drive standardization and optimization in application design, development, and deployment processes. - Mentor and coach engineering teams to improve performance and delivery quality. Technical Expertise: - Deep understanding of .NET and/or Java web frameworks, NodeJS, and front-end technologies (Angular, TypeScript, React). - Experience designing and managing REST and SOAP APIs (Web API, WCF). - Strong knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases and query optimization. - Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins). - Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Working knowledge of Containerizing applications using Docker or Kubernetes. - Strong grasp of object-oriented design, architecture patterns, and scalable web application design. Qualifications: - Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 15 to 20 years of overall experience in software development and architecture. - 8 to 10 years in a project or technical leadership role. - Proven experience managing Agile/Scrum-based projects. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. Preferred Attributes: - Strong understanding of digital transformation concepts and trends. - Expertise in program and project management methodologies. - Experience with Agile, SAFe, Scrum, or Lean delivery models. - Business process re-engineering and automation experience. - Vendor and partner management experience.
