Data Scientist

Role Overview: You will be responsible for working with the business and product teams to conceptualise, plan, and manage data-driven projects as part of the business/product roadmap. Your role will involve contributing to the design, development, and validation of data science models to meet product needs, as well as collecting requirements and conceptualising analytical solutions to business challenges. Additionally, you will need to integrate analytical algorithms into larger product applications and ensure data governance criteria are met. Key Responsibilities: - Interact with clients and demonstrate good communication skills - Collaborate with business and product teams to plan and execute data-driven projects - Design, develop, and validate data science models (analytical/data mining/ML/AI) - Collect, assess, and document requirements, and conceptualise analytical solutions - Integrate analytical algorithms into larger product applications - Visualise data and explain data analysis outcomes - Create data preparation processes and tools as needed for algorithms - Perform root cause analysis for inaccuracies in model features and propose improved approaches - Ensure data ingestion and data governance criteria are met - Analyse algorithm performance in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and other programming languages - Utilize version control/code repository tools like Bitbucket, GitHub - Experience in Frontend/UI technology is a plus - Work with large datasets and design scalable algorithms - Demonstrate excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities - Understand business requirements, with experience in retail/CPG/eCommerce preferred - Deliver outstanding presentations and communicate effectively Qualifications Required: - Minimum 4 years of experience in a relevant field - Ability to analyse algorithm performance in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and other programming languages - Desired software development experience - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Proficiency in data visualisation and data-driven optimisation - Educational background: BCA/B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc in relevant specializations - Postgraduate degree is a plus (Note: The additional details of the company were not included in the provided job description.)
