Data Scientist

Role Overview: As a Goodstuff Data Scientist at Assembly, you will be responsible for extracting, transforming and loading data (ETL) to support data warehousing, visualization, and automation. Using a variety of coding languages, ingestion methods, and datasets, you will play a key role in helping Goodstuff make informed decisions with data. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients, contributing to day-to-day operations and internal innovation projects. Your role will involve developing expertise in media and marketing channels and becoming a go-to person for data processing and infrastructure across the business. Key Responsibilities: - Use analytical thinking to scope, design, and document data for AI and machine learning applications - Build and maintain robust data pipelines, including scheduling, monitoring refreshes, and troubleshooting failures - Develop efficient, readable, and structured code (e.g. SQL) to process data for automation and AI tools - Familiarize yourself with key tools and systems such as R-Studio, Power BI, Looker Studio, SQL, Mediaocean, and SMI - Gain a deep understanding of how media data flows and leverage data science techniques to support planning, optimization, and measurement - Ensure data quality by running validation checks, reconciling data, and creating intuitive data visualizations - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage secure and compliant data handling - Support internal teams with analysis and reporting, as well as client data needs and requirements - Drive efficiency in data manipulation, automation, and reporting through reusable solutions - Identify opportunities for improving data processes to drive value and support a culture of learning and development Qualifications Required: - Strong analytical and numerical skills - Proficiency in ETL techniques across multiple sources - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Self-sufficiency, prioritization abilities, and good judgment in seeking support - SQL experience and a passion for AI, with media experience as an advantage - Advocacy for data and automation, with a proactive and team-oriented approach - Effective time management and problem-solving skills - Commitment to continuous improvement and learning Additional Company Details: At Assembly, we are committed to equal opportunities in the workplace, ensuring fairness regardless of various factors.
