As a Data Scientist Manager in the Finance Team at a global energy business, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to sophisticated data analysis, modeling, and machine learning projects. Your role will play a pivotal part in extracting actionable insights, driving strategic decision-making, and enhancing business processes through data-driven solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Advanced Data Analysis and Modeling: Feature selection and dimensionality reduction, model evaluation and validation, data modeling techniques. - Domain Knowledge: Expertise in the domain of operation for relevant questions and significant solutions. - Business Insight: Understanding of business operations, market dynamics, and financial implications to prioritize data science projects aligned with goals. - Out of Code Computing: Utilize libraries supporting out-of-core computing like Dask in Python for processing large datasets. - Machine Learning: Provide technical directions on models and techniques, advanced skills for complex models. - Partnership and Communication: Effectively communicate with non-technical customers, communicate findings through visualization. - Continuous Learning: Stay updated on technical data science and domain understanding. - Data Ethics and Privacy: Ensure data anonymization and pseudonymization, adhere to data retention policies. - Database Management: Work with databases, query data using SQL or NoSQL databases. - Project Management: Lead data science projects effectively, prioritize, plan, and deliver results within set timelines. - Statistical Analysis and Mathematics: Solid grasp of statistical methods and mathematical concepts for data analysis and insights. **Qualifications Required:** - Masters degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or related data field. - Leadership role in Data Analysis, proficiency in Python, SQL, Azure data bricks, Statistics & Mathematics. - Certified in SQL, Machine learning, Azure data bricks. - Experience with tools and libraries like Pandas, PySpark, NumPy, SciPy, NLP, Fuzzy matching logic. - Effective team manager with experience managing teams of 6-8 individuals.
