Data Officer

As a Data Officer at the World Bank Group, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of the organization by providing state-of-the-art information and technology applications. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing data analysis and creating reusable assets for the Data & Analytics Portal, such as dashboards, data visualizations, and reports. You will analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights and utilize tools and techniques to understand patterns. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide analytical support. You will develop solutions based on data analysis to address business challenges and identify opportunities for process improvements through data insights. - Documenting data processes, methodologies, and findings for future reference. You will maintain clear records of data sources and analysis methods, as well as identify and categorize source data and establish clear mappings between source and target fields. - Analyzing how changes will affect existing processes or systems and developing validation checks to ensure data integrity post-migration. You will work closely with data engineers to design the semantic layer conducive for analytics and maintain comprehensive documentation of the analysis process. Qualifications required for this role include: - A Master's degree with 5 years of experience in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience in a relevant discipline. - Minimum 3 years of experience in SQL, Python, R, or any programming language, reports and dashboards, building analytics, and troubleshooting issues, and data analysis. - Excellent skills in data modeling, data integration, and understanding different ways of designing data schema. Additionally, you should have hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Power BI and Tableau, as well as experience in building semantic layers and working with SAP BW/SAP HANA structures. Knowledge of advance SQL programming skills, row and column-level security, and experience in working with data warehouse applications in a hybrid environment is preferred.
