Data Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for developing, operating, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and robust data architectures for mobility-related use cases. Your role will involve integrating data from various operational systems into modern cloud environments while ensuring high data quality. You will also play a key role in designing and expanding our cloud-based data platforms, ensuring their stability, performance, and future viability. Additionally, you will be involved in model-driven data preparation and the development of standardized and reusable data models for analytics and AI applications. Your support to Data Architects, Data Scientists, and business units will include providing clean, documented, and performant data foundations, as well as advising on technical data requirements. You will also be responsible for identifying optimization opportunities in data processing and implementing automated workflows and monitoring solutions for a reliable end-to-end data flow. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, operate, and optimize scalable data pipelines and robust data architectures for mobility-related use cases - Integrate data from diverse operational systems into modern cloud environments - Design and expand cloud-based data platforms, ensuring stability, performance, and future viability - Model-driven data preparation and development of standardized data models for analytics and AI applications - Support Data Architects, Data Scientists, and business units by providing clean, documented, and performant data foundations - Identify optimization opportunities in data processing and implement automated workflows and monitoring solutions for a reliable data flow Qualifications Required: - Completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Data Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field - Several years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Platform Engineer, or in a similar data/IT role - Profound expertise in modern cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Databricks - Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, SQL, Spark, Python, and distributed computing environments - Analytical skills, ability to work with large datasets, structured and solution-oriented approach, clear communication with stakeholders - Proficiency in German and English (C1 level) Role Overview: You will be responsible for developing, operating, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and robust data architectures for mobility-related use cases.
