Data Engineer - Banking

As a Data Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions across the organization. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams to build end-to-end data pipelines that support decision-making, analytics, and machine learning initiatives. - Design and implement scalable data pipelines supporting structured and semi-structured data ingestion using tools like Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer - Develop data processing workflows leveraging Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, DataProc, and Apache Beam - Write clean, high-performance code in Python or Java and optimize SQL queries for data transformation, aggregation, and reporting - Manage automated data pipelines to ensure data integrity, performance, and monitoring throughout the lifecycle - Implement strong data governance, access control, and security configurations, particularly in environments like BigQuery, focusing on secure data sharing and compliance Preferred Experience and Qualifications: - Bachelors or masters Degree in computer science, statistics, data science, or engineering - 4+ years of hands-on experience in data science with a focus on applying machine learning in banking or fintech domains - Proficiency in Python or Java for data pipeline and ETL/ELT development, along with strong expertise in SQL - Experience designing and deploying production-grade data solutions on a major cloud platform (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure acceptable) - Hands-on experience in building credit risk models for financial institutions, retail, B2C startups, or banking product companies - Innovative and creative mindset to challenge the status quo and drive transformation The company is a transformative digital bank with a mission to revolutionize the financial industry by simplifying processes, reducing costs, improving transparency, and empowering individuals with unique financial needs.
