Job Description
You will be working with a team of developers, partners, and other engineers to formulate, assess, and help develop enterprise AI and Search platform related solutions to enable Cisco. You will also be an active participant in validating the metric data working with multi-functional teams.
- Work closely with product owners and business team members to develop solutions to compute metrics, complete data assessment, and analysis of the Search platform in an agile environment.
- Collaborate with the Search team to complete data assessment using SQL to extract data from Enterprise AI and Search platform.
- Document solutions to build or change metric computation business rules.
- Groom proposed solutions with the development team.
- Support on-demand data extracts to meet business needs.
Minimum requirements include:
- Bachelors degree in engineering with specialization in Computer Science or Information Science.
- Strong object-oriented analysis & design skills.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
- Deep understanding of Agile and DevSecOps practices and toolsets.
- Must be creative; be able to analyze and propose new simple approaches to complex problems.
- Must have the ability to analyze search queries in elastic search and provide recommendations on optimization.
- Proficient in SQL knowledge of data science, data preparation, cleanup concepts.
- Ability to keep track of metrics and identify issues.
- Participate in Agile meeting and suggest required user stories.
- Conduct testing for Search releases and Participate in UAT.
- Engage with Search team members and communicate accordingly.
- Must work well with team members, acting as a mentor to other engineers, helping to motivate and solve problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
Nice to have requirements include:
- Understanding of BigQuery and Snowflake a big plus.
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python, knowledge of Java is a plus.
- Familiarity with the cloud environment is a plus.
