Job Description
Role Overview:
As a Cybersecurity Engineer at our company, you will be required to work from the office for all 5 days a week and provide high-level technical and operational support across our hybrid Azure and On-Premises environments. Your role will involve implementing security controls, managing security operations, enhancing identity security, overseeing endpoint compliance, supporting data protection measures, leading incident response efforts, managing application security, and maintaining detailed technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement security best practices and configuration changes on On-Prem Cisco networking equipment for a hardened perimeter and internal segmentation.
- Lead the implementation and management of security controls across Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Proactively improve the Microsoft Secure Score by optimizing configurations within Defender for Cloud and Defender for Office 365.
- Enhance identity security within Microsoft Entra ID, managing Conditional Access policies, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Oversee device compliance and security configurations globally through Microsoft Intune.
- Support and refine data governance, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and sensitivity labeling within Microsoft Purview.
- Lead technical investigations and remediation efforts during security incidents, coordinating with internal teams and MSP partners.
- Manage and optimize Web Application Firewall (WAF) tuning, specifically utilizing Imperva technologies.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation for security processes and architectural decisions.
Qualifications Required:
- 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience, with a focus on cloud-native and hybrid environments.
- Robust understanding of networking from a cloud perspective and experience managing and securing On-Prem Cisco switches.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender suite, Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Purview, and WAF configuration.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical risks to senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP Security, AZ500, MS500, CISSP highly preferred. Role Overview:
