Cyber Security Engineer II

In this role, as a Cyber Security professional, you will be collaborating with engineers, consultants, and leadership to identify security risks and recommend mitigations within the Secure Development Lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include performing secure code reviews, security testing, and vulnerability triage across various applications to ensure product security. Regular interaction with internal and external customers on security-related projects and operational tasks will be crucial to maintaining client trust. You will also need to develop an understanding of business functionality and apply appropriate testing methodology based on technologies and associated risks. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and leadership to identify security risks and recommend mitigations within the Secure Development Lifecycle. - Perform secure code reviews, security testing, and vulnerability triage across various applications to ensure product security. - Regularly interact with internal and external customers on security-related projects and operational tasks to maintain client trust. - Develop an understanding of business functionality and apply appropriate testing methodology based on technologies and associated risks. - Analyse test results, draw meaningful conclusions from findings, and develop targeted exploit examples for validation. - Document root cause and risk analysis of security findings in a clear and professional manner. - Consult with operations and software development teams to ensure potential security weaknesses are tracked and addressed. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the overall security posture of applications and infrastructure systems. - Stay current on security best practices, emerging vulnerabilities, and evolving attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures. - Develop and test effective functional security testing strategies for new and emerging product security requirements. - Suggest improvements to existing security processes and tooling while implementing automation solutions where possible. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in a similar cybersecurity role with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field. - Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CEH, CCSP, CISSP, OSCP are highly desirable.
