Job Description
As a Cross Technology Service Delivery Field Support Engineer (L1) at NTT DATA, you will be responsible for providing professional first-line remote and/or onsite technical support and field engineering services to clients. Your main objective will be to ensure all requests, process events, and resolution incidents result in zero missed Service Level Agreement (SLA) conditions. You will manage standard and low complexity incidents, conduct routine tasks, and ensure incidents are updated with progress and resolution details in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities:
- Configure, install, test, and ensure the client site infrastructure is operational
- Install and configure software as per client requirements
- Proactively identify problems, log incidents with required detail, and liaise with stakeholders for quick resolution
- Investigate support calls, identify root cause, and escalate when necessary
- Track, log, report, and correct configuration items, components, and changes
- Provide first line remote and onsite technical support and field engineering services
- Escalate issues to 3rd party vendors when required
- Follow handover procedures for shift changes to ensure service continuity
To excel in this role, you need to have:
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to plan activities well in advance and adapt to changing circumstances
- Positive outlook, ability to work under pressure, and willingness to put in extra hours when necessary
- Active listening skills, adaptability, and client-centric approach
Academic qualifications and certifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related field
- Associate level certification in Data Centre technologies and Networking technologies
- Collaboration certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft Voice, and Webex Calling
Required experience:
- Entry level experience in Collaboration technologies, technical support, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and relevant technology
- Understanding of Network routing and switching
