Job Description
As a Credit Strategy Analyst at Best Egg, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of the home-secured personal loan portfolio. Your expertise in lending, credit models, and data-driven decision-making will help us expand our market share while maintaining robust risk controls. **Duties & Responsibilities:**
- Monitor, refine, and develop credit strategies for home-secured personal loans
- Create test/control champion/challenger tests and monitor to inform future strategies
- Provide scenario analysis, create financial impact sizing, and develop new strategy test cases
- Perform ad-hoc analytics, create reporting, and presentations
- Collaborate across functional areas to enhance overall growth and product offerings
- Partner with Decision Science to define and develop credit models and tools
- Maintain risk and return targets for investors in a changing economic environment
**Requirements - Development:**
- 5-7+ years of experience in a similar analytical role
- Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Engineering, or other quantitative major required; Masters degree a plus
- Proficiency in Python or similar, SQL, and MS Excel
- Experience in the financial industry, credit risk, and mortgage/home equity
- Ability to interpret data using analytics, research methodologies, and statistical techniques
- Previous experience with Business Intelligence reporting tools is desirable
- Excellent English written/verbal communication skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of modeling tools and techniques
- Ability to understand competitive pressures, economic trends, and their business impacts
