Job Description

As a Storekeeper in our company, your role will involve receiving and inspecting all incoming materials. You will be responsible for verifying the quantity and quality of deliveries against purchase orders and invoices. It will be your duty to inspect materials for any damage or defects and report any discrepancies. Organizing and storing materials in a safe and secure manner to prevent damage and theft will be crucial. Utilizing appropriate storage methods to protect materials from the elements and maintaining a clean and organized storage area will be part of your responsibilities. Accurately tracking all material issuances, maintaining detailed records, and ensuring that materials are issued only to authorized personnel with proper documentation will also be key tasks. Conducting regular stock checks, preparing and maintaining accurate inventory reports, monitoring material usage, and identifying any potential shortages or overages will be important for efficient inventory management. You will also assist with the preparation of material requisitions, coordinate with suppliers for material deliveries, and adhere to all safety regulations and procedures on the construction site. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in the storage area and promptly reporting any safety hazards or concerns will be crucial for ensuring a safe workplace. Qualifications required for this role include a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with 2-3 years of experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar role on a construction site. Proficiency in basic computer skills such as Microsoft Excel and inventory management software is necessary. Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi, as well as strong interpersonal skills, are essential for effective coordination with suppliers and team members. The ability to work independently and as part of a team will be important for successfully fulfilling the responsibilities of this role.
