Job Description
As a Cloud Engineer at McCain Foods(India) P Ltd, your role involves designing and implementing operational processes for cloud infrastructure, specifically focusing on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Your responsibilities include collaborating with cloud service providers to ensure reliable and cost-effective cloud operations, maintaining operational governance for compliance, and risk management, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless cloud operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing capacity planning, maintaining documentation of operational processes, and monitoring the health of APIs, SQL Managed Instance, Logic Apps, and integrations/connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish scalable and efficient operational procedures for cloud infrastructure, including AKS.
- Collaborate with cloud service providers to ensure reliable and cost-effective cloud operations.
- Maintain operational governance for compliance and risk management.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless cloud operations.
- Manage capacity planning to meet current and future cloud infrastructure demands.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of operational processes and configurations.
- Monitor the health of APIs, SQL Managed Instance, Logic Apps, and integrations/connections.
- Automate repetitive tasks in cloud infrastructure to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable systems to support global applications and services.
- Implement tools and frameworks for automation, monitoring, and incident response.
- Collaborate with various teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and implement solutions to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Influence and help design cloud infrastructure service architectures and standards for large-scale systems.
- Support the development and maintenance of cloud architecture and design documents.
- Support services during deployment and in production by measuring and monitoring key performance indicators.
Key Qualifications & Experiences:
- 15 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering roles.
- 1-3 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role in a global organization.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in cloud native designs, automation, and orchestration frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with IaC and automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Proficiency in Python, YAML, Microsoft DevOps, Terraform, Bash, etc., for automation tasks.
- Experience with performance and scalability on cloud platforms.
- Experience with edge compute and containerization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing cloud observability and working with cloud native technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling and practices.
