Job Description
As a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing administrative, human resources, purchase, operational, and internal governance functions. Your role will be crucial in ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment of internal processes with the companys long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage administrative functions including HR, legal, purchase, compliance, facilities, and internal operations
- Ensure timely communication with stakeholders, coordinate with outreach sites, and provide timely reporting
- Develop and implement organizational policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
- Collaborate with the CEO and executive leadership on strategic planning and execution
- Oversee budgeting, cost controls, and operational performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Manage cross-functional teams and cultivate a culture of accountability and excellence
- Support change management, organizational growth, and transformation initiatives
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, Law, or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
- 15 years of progressive leadership experience in administration, operations, or general management
- Proficiency in office automation tools, MIS systems, and IT-enabled administrative platforms
- Sound knowledge of service rules, labor laws, procurement procedures, and audit requirements
- Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Please note that this role is suited for candidates with at least 15 years of experience in the social sector such as NGOs, Trusts, Societies, or Research Institutes. Local candidates are preferred for this full-time position. You will report directly to the Director and play a critical role in shaping the organization's future success.
